DTB AgriTrade was founded* in 2000, not long after the completion of the two most consequential trade agreements for U.S. agriculture: the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the Marrakesh Agreement creating the World Trade Organization (WTO). The founders of DTB are internationally recognized experts in agriculture, trade policy, and trade law, and began the firm with the goal of helping food and agriculture firms use these agreements effectively while shaping new agreements to remove barriers and promote agricultural market integration.
DTB AgriTrade’s trade policy experts unapologetically support free trade, science-based innovation, and risk-based regulation because we believe these ideas are the best way to support producers, conserve our environment, and maximize food availability and quality for people around the world. We work with our clients on their trade policy goals that align with these principles within the framework of the international trade policy architecture.
Our clients have included farmer-led associations, cooperatives, agribusinesses, and more. We can provide advice, support, and research on a wide range of international issues related to agricultural trade.
DTB AgriTrade offers its clients deep expertise in trade policy, negotiations, international institutions, various U.S. and international government agencies and legislatures, and their interaction with agricultural production and commerce. Each policy expert brings a unique background. Learn more.
