Mark Sloan, Consultant/Advisor

Mark Sloan is an independent consultant specializing in market access and subsidies issues affecting U.S. agricultural exports and is also a consultant and advisor to DTB AgriTrade where he served as a partner from 2003 – 2022.
Prior to joining DTB AgriTrade, Mark was Director of Agricultural Affairs at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative Office from 1999 to 2003, where he focused on U.S. trade policy issues affecting U.S. exports to the European Union, U.S. agricultural safeguard actions, and agricultural trade with Canada.
Mark served as Agricultural Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey from 1995 to 1998. From 1990 to 1996, he served in various capacities at USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service in Washington D.C., helping lead U.S. market access work in the WTO Uruguay Round, and with the European Union. He served as agricultural attaché at the U.S. Mission to the European Communities from 1986 to 1990.
